Walking together along the cliffs
Tackling the England Coast Path at 60 without prior fitness can be quite a challenge, but having family and friends lace up their boots to walk beside me turns every steep incline into a cherished memory. Here is a celebration of the wonderful people who have shared miles, pub gardens, cosy cafe and blister stories along the trail.
"Joined for a blustery 8-mile stretch along the Dorset cliffs. What an inspiration — proving that determination and a flask of hot tea matter far more than gym memberships!"
Sarah (daughter)
"We thought we would stroll casually, but we ended up tackling three rugged bays before lunchtime. The laughter made every ache completely worthwhile."
Mark & Clare (lifelong friends)
"Walking a coastal stretch together reminded us that sometimes the best conversations happen when you are both slightly out of breath and looking at the sea."
David (brother)
"Every mile shared with loved ones makes the England Coast Path feel shorter, gentler, and infinitely more joyful."
